Architect and designer, Makoto Shibuya, announces a simple and elegant solution to the beanie and mask problem with the introduction of Stay.
If you have worn a beanie this year, you probably realized how frustrating it can be without a good set of ears. Stay is designed to solve this problem with a simple accessory that allows you to take your mask on and off without ever removing your hat.
“It started as a personal problem, but when we noticed everyone was having the same issue we knew we had to share our accessory with others,” says Shibuya.
After a few prototypes, Stay was born. Refined over many iterations, Stay has been designed and engineered to work with a variety of beanies and masks. “It was imperative that we had a flexible solution that didn’t compromise people’s style.”
