In order to fully appreciate the history of a place, it is imperative that one first understands it. The Military Museum of Capo D’Orso is carefully designed to take visitors through a progression of spaces designed to educate, experience, and contemplate its history. The progression is deliberate and carefully curated to provide an unforgettable experience.
Vertical piers tie the whole experience together by setting up visitors for a moment of discovery when they arrive at the Memorial. They discover a connection back to the sky through the museum they just passed. This powerful space is intended to honor those who fell in battle and act as a reminder that they have untold stories that are buried with them as they look back up to the sky to connect, but fail to be heard by those alive above them.
